Introduction
TAEWOONG is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of open die forgings and seamless rolled rings. TAEWOONG has been providing high quality forgings of a wide weight range up to 110 ton in all carbon steel, low alloy steel, stainless steel, titanium alloy, inconel alloy and aluminum ally since 1981. The company specializes in the production of large forged parts and rolled rings for projects in the wind energy, shipbuilding and marine engine, chemical and petrochemical, and power plant industries. Products are manufactured in a wide range of shapes and sizes on 5 open die forging presses – 15,000,8,000, 5,000, 2,000, 1,500 ton and 2 ring rolling mills – * 9,500mm, *3,000mm. All forged products and seamless rolled rings are available for delivery in any form : forged-only, heat treated, semi-machined or finish-machined.
Product Description
Forgings for wind power
Main products include the Tower flange which connects Rotor shaft to body and other select world class products of Korea. TAEWOONG is equipped with machinery that meets the needs of the wind power market (major clients include: VESTAS, GE ENERGY, SIEMENS, GAMESA) for sea and ground use.
Forgings for generating plant
Core part of forgings built into the turbine for nuclear power plant & thermal power plant. We have provided DOOSAN HEAVY INDUSTRIES, ALSTOM POWER, D.B.T, HITACHI and TOSHIBA to our products through Up-to-date facilities and development of Profile Ring Rolling process
Forgings for Shipbuilding & Marine Engine
Provides core part of a stern post and marine engine to internal and external renowned manufacturers like HYUNDAI, SAMSUNG, DSME, STX.
Forgings for chemical and petrochemical plant
Provides large size Tube sheet, Forged neck, Flange channel & Cover. Specializes in large size reactor vessels for petrochemical plants.
Forgings for nonferrous metals
Provides Ring forging metal for the aeronautic field, such as: Aluminum ally, Titanium alloy, Inconel alloy for the first time in Korea.
